Watch the Demon as he rises, a shadowy figure in my heart.
Listen to his silky voice, a love filled promise in my ears.
Taste his kiss on my lips, an aching pain mixed with metal.
Smell his breath upon my neck, a dying beast half decayed.
Touch his flesh with tender love, cold as death on Winter's Eve.
Cry a tear for his soul, gone from Heaven for all time.

"Smile my love, I'll join you soon."

A mortal's Love. A Vampire's Love, not to be.
Yes yes. I am fully aware that it begins with Demon and later on it says Vampire but wouldnb't you call a Vampire a Demon of sorts? I know I would and that's my reasoning.

This poem, such as it is, is about a final moment between a mortal and her Vampiric Love. Her last words to him a promise she can never keep. I ended the poem with "Not to be" to illustrate, in a way, that despite her willingness to join him in his Immortality somehow they are stopped. I leave it open for you to decide how it comes to be that two fated lovers cannot be yet in mind I know perfectly well how.
